Kellie martin is an American TV, film and stage actress. Her most well-known role is Christy Huddleston (Christy) in the period drama Christy"; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Her other notable roles include being the main character in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin's acting journey began at age 7 when an aunt, the former nanny who took care her children Michael Landon, helped secure a spot as a special guest in 1982's 'Father Murphy.' When she completed her studies at Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more serious. She landed significant roles in television and on the big screen. Martin has a background as an actress in addition to a gifted photographer and dancer has been in the industry for more than 20 years. Martin is also a mother of two children and is the official spokesperson for Lupus. Following her 19-year-old sister's death Martin has been trying to raise awareness about Lupus and its symptoms.
